Congratulations on being named a Finalist in the 2025 Signal Awards! Now it’s time to share the news with your fans and friends. As a Finalist, your work has been entered into the running for a Listener’s Choice Award – an international competition voted on by the public. Voting in the Listener’s Choice Awards is open now through Thursday, October 9th at 11:59pm PST. The resources below will help you craft a compelling campaign to win the Listener’s Choice Award in your category, and introduce your work to new audiences.

Audio Promo Tips
To get out the vote, there’s no better way than to leverage your own podcast feed. Here are our tips to craft an effective audio promo / pre-roll ad:
- Include where listeners can cast their ballot (vote.signalaward.com) and the date voting concludes (October 9th).
- Give your listeners a reason why to vote. Our friends at Tink Media put it this way: “ask yourself what would winning a Signal Award mean to me? Take a moment to sit with this question, and then record a voice memo to yourself answering it. Another approach is to call a friend and explain in the simplest terms why this recognition is valuable. Speak honestly to the emotions that come up, and take notice of what they are. Did any of your answers surprise you?”
- Consider additionally turning this exercise into a direct-to-camera video to your followers on social.

Make the Most of the Moment
There’s a small window of time around an award win when others perceive that you have ‘heat’ around your project, and are much more likely to meet with you, help you, etc., so don’t sit this moment out, now is the time to send that email.” – 2023 Signal Award Winner Zander Adell, Creator, Celeritas
Here are four ideas from our friends at Tink Media about how to leverage your Finalist status for maximum impact:
- This is the moment to write a press release about your win and send it out to media outlets and members of the press in the podcast industry, including podcast newsletters. Remember: share your story. Why was this show or episode the one you selected to enter? How does this episode exemplify the meaning and impact of your podcast?
- Release a podcast episode about it! Publish a short episode sharing the news and your story. Re-run the episode you submitted with a little intro about becoming a Finalist.
- Update or create a sponsorship deck that highlights this recognition. Explain how it gives the brand/sponsor the opportunity to be aligned with a high quality show where listeners are engaged and new listeners will be tuning in because of the award.
- Hire a marketing agency to create and execute a full-fledged campaign for you! (A bit of shameless promotion here but a marketing agency like Tink Media could do wonders for an award-nominated podcast!)

Road to Rickwood built a dedicated blog post, SNAFU with Ed Helms created a thread on X and The Ten News added their Signal badges to the footer of their website as a marker of excellence.
