The Signal Awards is proud to introduce its newest honorary distinction: Signal Podcast Agency of the Year — recognizing the branded podcast studio behind the most award-winning work in audio storytelling.

Year after year, agencies have told us they want a way to be recognized not just for individual shows or spots, but for the breadth and quality of their brand storytelling work as a whole. Signal Podcast Agency of the Year is our answer: a distinction that celebrates the creative team elevating branded podcasts.

How It Works

Signal Agency of the Year is awarded to the podcast agency or branded content studio that earns the most wins across The Signal Awards’ Categories. It’s that straightforward — the more your work wins, the closer you get to the title. This isn’t a nomination. It’s earned through the collective strength of your portfolio.

How We Determine the Winner

The Signal Agency of the Year distinction is calculated based on total Signal Award wins across all categories. The agency credited as the producing studio at time of entry will be used to calculate totals. Agencies are encouraged to ensure their studio name is accurately reflected across all submissions. Performance is determined through a points system awarded based on the number of Bronze (1 point), Silver (2 points) and Gold (3 points) wins received by a company across all categories.

The winner will be announced alongside all Signal Award honorees at the conclusion of the 2026 awards season.

Winning Signal Agency of the Year means more than a trophy. It means:

    • Industry recognition as the top-performing branded podcast studio of the year
    • Prominent placement in Signal Awards winner announcements, press, and marketing
    • A marker of creative leadership to current and prospective clients

Which Categories Count

Signal Agency of the Year is determined by wins across The Signal Awards’ categories, which recognize excellence in podcasts produced on behalf of brands, organizations, and sponsors. These include categories spanning narrative, interview, educational, documentary, and more — all within the branded audio space.

Who Should Enter

If your studio produces branded podcasts — whether you’re an independent shop, a full-service agency, or a network’s branded content division — you’re eligible. There’s no separate application for Signal Agency of the Year. Every win by your studio automatically counts towards the title.
